NAPADY - Mr. Peter Napady formerly of Theodore, beloved husband of Bernice Napady passed away on January 10, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Home in Melville. He was 74 years of age. Peter was born on May 10, 1939 in Wroxton, Sask. He was the youngest of five born to Metro and Mary Napady. His childhood years were spent on the family farms where he attended school up to grade 8 and then he started farming. In 1959, he met Bernice Denischuk and they later married on July 1,1961. They made their home at the family farm where they were blessed with 3 sons Faron, Marty and Brian. In the fall of 1976 he moved the family to Theodore Sask. There he worked independently as a cat operator for 33 years. Peter's favorite pastimes were music (Guitar, Fiddle, Drums) and as part of many bands he enjoyed playing hundreds of weddings and events. Sports, hunting, fishing and any outdoor activity is where he would be. Peter could easily be found tinkering at his acreage. He was a jack of all trades and took pride in all things he created and fixed. Those that knew him well, knew that if they needed a special part that Peter would either have it or make it for them. He enjoyed friendly get togethers, laughing, conversation and peaceful evening drives in the country. Through difficult times he never gave up on himself being the strength that held family unity. Peter was predeceased by his father Metro and his mother Mary, brothers and sisters Harry, Jenny, Nettie, Ann and his son Faron. Peter is survived by his loving wife and companion Bernice, married for 52 years; sons Marty and Brian (Wendy); his grandchildren Derek, Jayden and Kierra. He also leaves to mourn many family members, nieces, nephews and friends. His family, friends and everyone who came to know and respect him will sadly miss Peter.
