PASLOSKI - Mrs. Rose Pasloski of Yorkton, beloved wife of Tom Pasloski passed away on January 3, 2014 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 72 years of age. Rose Margaret Pasloski was born on June 25, 1941 on the family farm in the Buchanan district of Saskatchewan to Stella (Baron) and Edward Slugoski. After moving briefly to Glencoe, Ontario the family returned to Preeceville area where Rose attended Norway School next to their farm and high school in Preeceville. Rose met her husband-to-be at the Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Rama on August 15, 1957 during the annual pilgrimage. After completing high school Rose moved to Winnipeg and worked for Aerospace Industries while continuing to date Tom who was working in the gold mine at Red Lake, Ontario. They were married in St. Anthony's in Rama on October 19, 1959. Darrell was born in Winnipeg and the family moved to Yorkton in fall of 1962 where Terry was born. Work advancement meant the family moved to Melfort, Sask. in 1966 where the family was blessed with the addition of daughter Lori. After living in High Level, Alberta for 3 years the family returned to Yorkton. Throughout the years when the children were small Rose remained a stay at home mother. Rose loved the 24 years she worked at Yorkton Regional Hospital. Starting at reception and moving to the Lab she enjoyed meeting people, being productive and the many friendships she made. While she loved her work, she equally loved her retirement. To Rose, family was everything. Tom and the kids were her world and she worked very hard and sacrificed her whole life to provide the best life and opportunities for all three of her children. Once they grew up and started families of their own, her pride and joy were the 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She loved her garden, both flower and vegetable, and was a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking for everyone when they came to visit. Rose and Tom took great pride in landscaping their yard and it was always pristine and beautiful. Taking care of herself through exercise and healthy eating was always a priority. She loved to walk! Frequently she walked to work and later a favourite pastime were bike rides and walks with Tom. She also loved going camping and travelling to see the kids and grandchildren. We are thankful for the thousands of treasured pictures of these happy memories. One of the most important parts of Rose's life was her tremendous faith and trust in God. Throughout her life, but especially during her illnesses, her faith and trust in the Lord was stronger than ever. She loved God with her whole heart and soul, giving her strength to face tremendous pain and suffering. Rose followed her mother's footsteps by travelling to Medjugorje in the fall of 2011. Left to cherish Rose's memory are her loving husband of 54 years Tom; sons Darrell (Tammie) of Whitehorse, Yukon and children Erin, Lynsey, Taylor & Bronwyn; Terry (Carla) of Dauphin, Manitoba and children Joel (Josie) and daughter Charlotte, Ashley (Jonathon) and daughter Mya, Kaitlyn (Jason) and daughters Keira & Ava, Jordan, Moses, Mary & Hannah; and daughter Lorelei of Edmonton, Alberta and children Chloe & Jadyn; brother Bernard (Marge) Slugoski of Yorkton, Sask.; sister Elizabeth (Walter) Kmet of Regina, Sask.; brothers-in-law Leonard (Vivian), Richard (Marge), Jerry (Sonja) & sisters-in-law Elaine Olson, Bette (Al) Wasylenka & Jeanette (Glen) Rusk, numerous nieces & nephews & their families and many dear, close friends.
