Obituary of Wayne Green

George Wayne Green was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on Oct. 6, 1943 to George and Elenore (nee Rasmussen) Green. The first few years of his life were spent in Beatty, Saskatchewan. Later the family moved to Melfort. Wayne was a truck driver for most of his life. He traveled through Canada and the United States. He received numerous safe driving awards and commendations. Wayne was an avid chuckwagon chariot racer and had a deep love for animals. When he retired he loved to attend rodeos and kept track of the Taypotat family especially Ty Taypotat whom he was extremely proud of. Wayne was devoted to his wife Sharon and loved his children and grandchildren very much. His love showed and his family always felt free to ask him his advice on anything as they knew his answers would always be fair and honest. He was always willing to lend an ear or a hand to help anyone. Wayne also had a soft spot in his heart for not only horses but for dogs as well and they seemed to sense this as they would naturally gravitate to him. Wayne will be sadly missed by those that knew and loved him dearly. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sharon; their children and their families, four sons, Roger, Rob (Tanya) and their children Tyvan, Sierra and Ty; Bradley (Carla) and their children Brian, Zach, Tina, Jacob and Keira; and Lawrence (Verna) and their children Mike, Tony and Angel; three daughters, Kim (Shaun), Elaine (Deano) and their children Farley, Neil, Sarah and Emily; and Sherilyn (Greg) and their children Sharissa, Dallas and Tyler; eight great grandchildren, Damien, Rosalee, Josh, Jerome, Faelyn, Jimmy Joe and Gregory; and many relatives and friends.
