A memorial folder from the funeral service may be printed under the "Memories" tab, then choose "Memorial Program". BYSKI - Theodore ‘Ted' Byski beloved husband Adeline Wasyliw of Yorkton, formerly of the Goodeve - Hubbard district passed away on Sunday November 10, 2013. He was seventy three years of age. Ted was born on September 14, 1940 to Thomas and Mary (nee Swininko) Byski in the Hubbard district. He attended Late Star School to the end of grade eight. He then stayed home to help his Dad with farming. During the early 1960's he started farming on his own. You would always find him helping his neighbors no matter how much work he had to do for himself. He would also work for farmers in the Yorkton and Tullymet areas for extra money. In his younger years he also worked on the Alberta oil rigs. He also tried his hand in municipal politics, when he became a councilor for the R. M. of Tullymet. You would never hear him complain and he always had a smile on his face even when his health was starting to fail from diabetes and finally kidney failure. He was then faced with dialysis three times a week, first in Regina for six months and then in Yorkton for the last fourteen years. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, sitting in his favorite couch on Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was preceded by his parents, Thomas and Mary; a daughter, Doris in infancy; a brother, Mike and a sister in law, Elsie Byski; three cousins, Danial and Andrew Byski and Mary Maza; and one grandson. Left to cherish his life is his special friend and partner of twenty years, Adeline Wasyliw, a son Dennis, Adeline's grown son and daughter, a sister Anne (William) Kozey, a brother Donald (Emily) Byski, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews from immediate and extended families. May his soul rest in peace. Funeral Services were held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre in Yorkton with Rev. Molly Kitchen of Westview United Church in Yorkton officiating. Musical selections were Church In the Wildwood and Amazing Grace. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Ted's brother, Don Byski serving as the urnbearer. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.baileysfuneralhome.com Memorials in memory of Ted may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Diabetes Association as gifts of remembrance. Arrangements were entrusted to Bailey's Funeral and Cremation Care - Yorkton.
