Obituary of Darbey Liebrecht

He was 60 years old. Darbey was baptized and confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church, Rhein. Darbey grew up on the family farm near Rhein. He attended school at the one room Wallace School and then Rhein School and the new Yorkton Regional High School. Darbey was blessed with one daughter, Lindsay, her husband Jason and two grandchildren, Landon and Spencer. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting trips with his friends and he always included his special dog Zoey on the fishing trips. Darbey resided on the family farm for many years and commuted to work. He moved to Yorkton approximately 8 years ago. He worked for many years at York City Taxi and many of his co-workers were his good friends. He enjoyed the work and the customers and had numerous stories to share. Darbey looked so forward to the winter trips he took south with his close friends, and he loved family gatherings and good food. Darbey was predeceased by his father August, his sister Nadean and his sister Fern. He leaves to mourn his daughter Lindsay (Jason), grandchildren Landon and Spencer, his Mom, Anne, and sister Faye (Dick). He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
