Obituary of William "Willie" Lipinski

William was born on July 6th, 1935 to Frank and Mary Lipinski (nee Lang), near the family farm south of Grayson. He was the oldest of eight children. He attended Columbia School until the end of grade 6 when he left to help farm after his father was injured. Willie continued to farm until his early twenties, leaving for a short period of time to work at Co-op Creamery in Broadview; however, once again the family farm called and Willie returned to Grayson where he continued to farm with his dad until Frank retired in 1980 at which time Willie took over the farming operations. He continued to farm there until fall 2012. In 1970 Willie met Susan (nee Milton) through some friends and asked her to a dance. They later married on July 10, 1971 in Melville and welcomed four children during their marriage - David, Nicole, Grant, and Kimberley. Willile's passions were his farm, family and his horses. Many special times were spent hooking up the horses and taking his family and friends on sleigh rides. Willie truly loved spending time playing marbles and having coffee with neighbours, fishing with his childhood friend, watching old westerns, and since moving to Grayson driving around in his old green truck taking his dog for a ride and checking his crops. Willie loved his family and had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time watching "toons" with them and even could be found still watching after they had left. Willie was truly loved by all who have had the privilege of knowing him and will be sadly missed by those who loved him. Predeceased by his father Frank, sister Margaret, niece Kathy, and sisters-in-law Donna and Judy, Willie leaves to mourn his wife Susan of 41 years, son David - children Landon, Aidan, and Jada of Saskatoon; daughter Nicole (Dickie) - son Mason of Weyburn; son Grant (Debbie) - children Logan and Lincoln, of Grayson, daughter Kim (Tyson) of Melville, and mother Mary of Regina; Sisters Agnes (Willie) Baer, Doreen (Rodney) Ottenbreit, Joan (Jeff) Beer; brothers Frank (Mona) Lipinski, Clarence (Heather) Lipinski, Ernest (Bernadette) Lipinski; and brother in law Bob Loerzel as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
