He was 77 years of age. Raymond Frank Dubiel was born on June 1, 1936 to Mike and Mary Dubiel. He was the oldest of three children and was raised on the family farm near Willowbrook. He attended Maxwelton elementary school and went to high school in Yorkton. He then continued his education in Moose Jaw, where he studied to become a mechanic. He married Olga Sass on July 1, 1961 and they began their life together in Yorkton. Through the years they raised four children; Karen, Brenda, Tim and Theresa. Ray started his career at Korb Motors. He worked at several garages over the years and ended up working at Royal Ford for 25 years eventually retiring in 2002. Not only did he work as a mechanic, he also farmed the entire time. Even when he gave up his land, he still continued to help out his brother Alvin on the farm. In his spare time, Ray loved to "invent" things, from a chicken plucker to a curly fry maker he was always tinkering in the garage. If he couldn't buy the right gadget or part, then he would just make it. Even in the nursing home he would take apart his razor or hearing aid because he needed to make it better. Ray was very meticulous about his yard. The grass and hedges always had to be trimmed and neat. He loved to socialize, be it playing cards or going to dances. He was also quite the jokester. He loved to make people laugh and always had a smile on his face. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, of almost 52 years, Olga, children and grandchildren Karen (Terry), Melanie, Courtney and Amanda Kuzyk; Brenda (Russ), Jayke and Bryce Boghean; Tim (Nicole), Maddison and Zackery Dubiel; Theresa (Mark) Gibson. He is also survived by his brother Alvin, numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunts, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Ilene and sister-in-law Darlene. The Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Yorkton with Rev.
