Obituary of Doris Williams
WILLIAMS - Doris Williams, beloved wife of Stan of Yorkton passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre following a lengthy illness. She was 79 years of age. Doris was born at Kindersley, Saskatchewan on April 22,1934, she grew up on the family farm in the Beadle District, attended Elementary School in Beadle and High School in Kindersley. Doris was united in marriage to Stan Williams on August 10,1956. They were blessed with a son Brent in March of 1959. Doris worked at a Machinery and Car Dealership and later for the Bank of Nova Scotia. The family moved to Melville in July 1959 and then to Yorkton in February of 1960. In June of that year another son, Don was born. The family has resided in Yorkton since that time. Doris was predeceased by her parents John and Bessie (nee Blackstock) Smith, brothers Malcolm and David Smith, and by a sister Janet Bond. Doris is survived by her husband Stan; sons Brent and Don, and a sister Velma Dale of Clinton B.C. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private celebration of Doris' life in the fall. Cremation & funeral care have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home.
