Obituary of Carol Lozinski

A memorial folder from the funeral service can be printed under the "Memories" tab, then click "Memorial Program". Carol was born on October 20, 1926 in the Tullymet municipality of Saskatchewan. A daughter of John and Lillian (nee Leontowich) Lozinski. She first went to school in Dromeg school and then to File Hills School with her other siblings when they moved to the family home, which still stands now. After school Carol worked on the farm, milking cows and taking care of her siblings. She also worked for other families, taking care of their children, including the family of Leo Lozinski and the Inksons. She learned to play the guitar and often sat out behind the family home playing the guitar and singing in the evenings. In the early 1960s, Carol moved to Regina with her older sister, Kay and pursued her dream of becoming a hairdresser. Carol met many lifelong friends during her 40 year career as hairdresser. Carol and Kay travelled to far away cities in Canada and the United States but Carol always made a point to return to Ituna to visit her family. Carol loved to share many stories from her childhood and travels with her nephew and nieces. Carol remained devoted to her nieces and nephew until the end of her days. Carol passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina at the age of eighty six years. Carol is predeceased by her parents, John and Lilly Lozinski, and her brothers Mike, Adolph, Bill (wife Audrey) and sisters Kay and Mary. She is survived by her brothers John, Pete, and Joe, and by her nephew Joe William (Nan), and nieces Jackie, and Carla, and Carla's children, Thomas, Emma, Tristan and Audrey.
