Obituary of Terrance Wesley "Terry" Kindrat

KINDRAT - Terry Kindrat of Canora, formerly of the Hamton district passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Canora Hospital with his devoted sister Bev at his side following a period of failing health. He just recently became 67 years of age. Terrance Wesley Kindrat was born on April 14, 1946 at Yorkton, Saskatchewan, a son of William and Olga (nee Prokopetz) Kindrat. He attended Bridok School and also the Moose Jaw Training School. Known to many friends as Terry and Taras to his family, he will be remembered for his desire for cleanliness. The family yard and barn proved to be true examples of that trait. He held an unconditional love for children and they sensed it and many times he would be seen entertaining and playing with them. Terry liked many farm animals but his love for horses would go unsurpassed. He was always ready and willing to help out with a variety of chores. He always enjoyed his coffee and donut breaks. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father William; his sisters Judy Wallace and Bev Kopeck; his nephews Dwayne and Kelly Kopeck and Kevin Mackisey; his niece Tara Mackisey; great nephews and niece Tanner, Tyler, Brandon, Brie and Hayden and numerous cousins and friends. Terry is predeceased by his mother Olga in August, 1993; brothers-in-law George Wallace and Walter Kopeck; uncles and aunts, John, Metro, Nick and Steve Kindrat, Bill Prokopetz, Ann Yuzik, Mary Kozmech, Lena Krepakevich and Betty Macek. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Canora Rainbow Hall with Rev. Father Michael Faryna officiating. The cantor, Zenovia Duch led in the singing of the responses. A eulogy and words of gratitude were conveyed by Judy Wallace. Named as honourary pallbearers were Tyler Kopeck, Brie Kopeck, Brandon Haugen, Hayden Matechett and staff of the Canora Hospital. Tyler Kopeck served as the cross bearer. The interment followed in the family plot at Canora Town Cemetery with Dwayne Kopeck, Kelly Kopeck, Tanner Kopeck, Lorne Kobelka, Angie Drobot and Lisa Prokopetz serving as casket bearers. A musical tribute to Terry was played by Orville Drobot. Memorials honouring Terry's life may be made to The Health Foundation for purchase of a television.
