Obituary of Virginia Kulaway
KULAWAY - Mrs. Virginia Kulaway, beloved wife of the late Steven Kulaway of Yorkton. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Jean Kulaway (Homeniuk) who left this life with her daughters and sons in law by her side on January 6, 2013, to be united with her husband, Steven and daughter Tammy in eternal life. Virginia was born on May 25, 1948 in Yorkton, SK to Annie (Nykoruk) and Harry Homeniuk. The only child in this union. Virginia grew up on the family farm and attended Vionne School in the Rhein district. Virginia and Steven Kulaway were united in marriage on May 2, 1970. Their first born Tammy Lynn was born shortly after followed by Tracy Lee and 8 years after the baby Amanda Rose was born to complete this family of five. Her daughters were always known as her sweethearts. Virginia never had any siblings but was always fortunate for the large Kulaway family. Virginia was employed at the Met and later the Red Apple store for 25 years. With this career she met a lot of people and lifelong friends. Virginia was known for her personality and wit. She was hard not to love, you knew you were loved and how much when she told you her "words of wisdom". Virginia's house never had a doorbell, everyone was always welcome just like her heart you entered as a stranger and left as a friend. Virginia over the years opened her life and heart to many people. She loved calling the young ones her adopted children and grandchildren. She loved them like her own and the feelings were mutual with these relationships. Virginia's most precious prides and joys were her grandchildren known as baba's boys and baba's girl. These were her angels on earth. She loved to hear about their accomplishments, standing beside them as their biggest fan and giving them encouragement along the way. Virginia loved good company and a pot of coffee. She enjoyed outings to an evening of bingo. She loved being surrounded by friends and family. In her passing Virginia leaves to mourn her daughters, Tracy (Jeff) Martin of Regina, Mandee (Marcel Roussin) Kulaway of Yorkton. Grandsons Brayden Martin, of Regina, Jaspyn Campbell and Hudsyn Roussin, of Yorkton; granddaughter, Daytona Campbell of Yorkton and fur baby Liberty. Along with numerous extended family and friends. Virginia is predeceased by her parents Annie and Harry Homeniuk, husband Steven (2000) and daughter, Tammy (2011). Virginia's warmth, love, sense of humor, honesty and courage will be missed.
