Obituary of Victor Prieb
PRIEB - Victor Emmanuel Prieb of Melville, Saskatchewan beloved husband of Diane, entered his eternal rest on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville at the age of 78 years with family by his side. Victor was born on April 27, 1934 in Regina, a son to Adam and Bertha ( Leippi) Prieb. Victor received his education at Kronau, Lewvan, and Luther College and helped on the family farm. After his schooling Victor had a fuel delivery truck and saved enough money to purchase land and began his own grain farming operation at Lang. Victor was united in marriage to Diane Johnstone on April 8, 1972 at Regina, SK and continued to farm, and later his son Bryon and wife Raelene joined them. In 2001 they all moved to Melville to begin a new adventure, where Victor helped Bryon and Raelene purchase Century Glass, and Victor semi- retired and helped by delivering windows. In 2003 he bid on the 5 year garbage removal contract in Melville and purchased a sanitation truck. Victor enjoyed going to Echo Lake, fishing, boating, watching movies, listening to western music, taking his grandkids for ice cream, playing ball with Sue, farming, looking at machinery, telling jokes, and socializing on coffee row. He loved people and had such wit and humor that everyone enjoyed being with him. He had a quiet but solid faith and we knew his trust was in Jesus. Predeceased by his parents and sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Walter Osborne. Victor leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Diane; son Bryon (Raelene) and their children, Avery and Janaye; daughter Michelle; son Scott (Carol); brother Bill (Joyce); as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
