Obituary of Ingeburg Gemar

Ingeburg Else Dagmar Gemar, resident of Yorkton, passed away on Tuesday, October 16th. She was 81 years of age. Inge Gemar (nee Leidig) was born on December 8, 1930 in Tungendorf, Germany; a daughter of Otto and Else (nee Volk) Leidig. She was joined to Heinrich Gemar in holy matrimony in Germany on June 9th, 1951. Henry and Inge immigrated to Fairview, Alberta in 1952 where their daughter Ingrid was born in 1955. They moved to a farm outside of Stornoway, SK in 1979 to be close their grandchildren. Henry and Inge remained on the farm after their retirement. Her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren were very special to her and she cherished them dearly. She possessed a strong faith and displayed great dedication to her church and loved music very much. She greatly enjoyed singing in and directing choirs. Her love of fresh flowers was evidenced by the colorful floral displays outside her front door every summer. Inge is predeceased by her parents, Else and Otto Leidig, and sister Ursula Maennchen. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 61 years Henry Gemar; her daughter Ingrid (Gemar) and Stan Stumph of Yorkton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Stephanie (Stumph) and Gary Denbow of Minneapolis, MN; Benn and Amber Stumph and their children Elise and Nolan of Minneapolis, MN; Dan and Sarah Stumph and their son, Casey of Yorkton, along with many other friends and relatives.
