Obituary of Andrew Kentz

Andrew Roman Kentz was born on June 16, 1965 at the Ituna Hospital; a son of Eileen (nee Kitzul) and Roman Kentz. He was raised on the family farm in the Hardrock district and attended the Hubbard & Ituna Schools. Andy, as he was known as, went to Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon to train as a heavy duty mechanic. His first job was with Stan's Mobile Service, then with Yellowhead Transport, with Truck Proz, and lastly with Canamera Trucking. On April 27, 1991 he was united in marriage to Gwen Ostafie at Yorkton. This union was blessed with two sons, Tyson & Dylan. Andy passed away suddenly on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Yorkton. He was 47 years of age. Predeceased by his father Roman in 1998; grandparents, Andrew & Eva Kentz and George & Annie Kitzul. He is survived by his two sons: Tyson & Dylan Kentz of Yorkton (and their mother Gwen); Andy's mother Eileen Kentz (and friend Wilmar of Wishart); his sister Loretta Kentz (and friend Dean) of Copper Sands, SK; and by brothers: Tim of Regina; Craig (Connie) of Sylvan Lake AB; Tom (Kerri) of Lacombe, AB; and Clayton (Shaunya) of Ituna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
