Obituary of Dolly Fey

FEY - Mrs. Dolly Fey, widow of Fred Fey, age 76 passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Dolly Ionne Fey was born December 8, 1935 at Birch Hills. Sask. Dolly was united in marriage to Fred Fey on May 7, 1954. Dolly loved baking, cooking and gardening until the loss of her eye sight approximately 4 years ago. There was never a shortage of perogies, cabbage rolls, bread, buns, pies or scuffles in her home at anytime. She loved gardening and camping but hated fishing. At Christmas time there was no shortage of food. Mom did all the cooking while watching the rest of the family play cards. Predeceased by her husband Fred, son Robert, mother Lucille, brothers Doug, Chester and Norman, grandson Jason. She leaves to mourn her passing daughter Sharon (Gary) Lapitsky, daughter Debbie (Rick) Fruno, son Curtis, daughter Brenda (Darcy) Tymko, son Cameron (Tracey), and son Daryl. Nine grandchildren, Jeff (Katie), Jamie (Mitch), Katrina (Tyler), Robbie, Megan, Natasha, Sydney, Lucas and Lee. Four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, William and Jacob. Her one sister Lois. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, close friends and relatives. The funeral service was held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home in Yorkton with Rev. Ken Buchan officiating. The organist, Amanda Buhler led in the singing of the hymns, "Amazing Grace", "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "How Great Thou Art". The eulogy was given by Tracey Fey (daughter-in-law). The interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Curtis Fey, Darcy Tymko, Cameron Fey, Jeff Lapitsky, Daryl Fey and Rick Fruno serving as the casket bearers. Memorials in Dolly's name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
