Obituary of Milton Charles Giles

GILES - Milton Charles Giles of Melville Saskatchewan passed away on July 6 ,2011 at the age of 54 years. Born on August 2nd 1956 at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. One of four children born to Gladys (nee Redfern) and the Late Milton Giles. Milton was very courteous and outgoing. Family, friends and co-workers were very important to Milton. Recently he was employed as a driver at Olympic Taxi in Melville and with his outgoing personality touched many lives. Milton enjoyed pencil art, guitars, old cars, was a huge Roughriders fan. Milton will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Gladys Giles, son, Kurtis Giles, sisters, Marilynn (Ray Parker) and Brenda (Bob Chita) and families. Welcomed to his new eternal home by his father, Milton Sr. and sister, Lynn. Milton's memory will also be cherished by his nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Now in God's care, may Milton be at peace. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home in Melville with Pastor Richard Gibson officiating. Milton's son, Kurtis gave a tribute and shared words of remembrance. The organist, Mrs. Geri Miller and guitarist, Len Varga led the congregation in the singing of the hymns ‘When We All Get to Heaven', ‘Safe In the Arms of Jesus' and ‘Just A Closer Walk With Thee'. Interment followed in the Melville Municipal Cemetery with Kurtis Giles serving as the urn bearer. Memorials in memory of Milton may be made to the Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
