Obituary of Carol Gwillim

GWILLIM - After a courageous battle with cancer, Carol Jean Gwillim, aged 74, of Yorkton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 3, 2012. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Alice Gwillim; her son Dwayne, and a brother Lawrence Gwillim. Carol is survived by her loving companion of 23 years, Terry Hudy; she will be forever in the hearts of her family: Glenda (Dale) Bugoy of Sooke, BC; Marney (Rodney) Haslbeck of Medicine Hat, AB; Jamey (Lori) Liebrecht of Yorkton; Bradley (Kim) Liebrecht of Yorkton; and Trevor (Jodi) Liebrecht of Yorkton; 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; her three sisters: Shirley (Eddie) Matus of Regina; Marlene (Leonard) Kozakewich of Regina; and Terry Lynn (Neil) Matkowski of Springside, numerous nieces, nephews, and her many other relatives and friends. Of all her accomplishments in life, Carol's greatest achievements and utmost joys have been the lives of her family. She loved nothing better than getting together with family and the sharing of countless stories and laughter. Her legacy to her family has been a lifetime of wonderful memories. Carol's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the Palliative Care Team and Home Care staff as well as her doctors for their compassionate care and support during their mother's illness. At Carol's request, a private service and interment will be held at a later date for immediate family only. Donation's in Carol's memory may be made to The Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan for use in the Palliative Care Unit. Condolences may be left at baileysfuneralhome.com.
