Obituary of Amabe Joseph Jerome

AMABE JOE JEROME -It is of great sadness that we announce the passing of Amabe Joseph Jerome on December 9,2011 at the Regina General Hospital with his daughter, son, grandchildren and family by his side. He is Survived by his daughter Shyann Jerome (OJ Bear) with her children Keanan and Kreestyn, his son Welsey Jerome with his son Brayden, his adopted son Travis and his special lady friend Barb, along with his brothers: Wilbert, Alvin, Ben, Harvey, Edward & Gordon, his sisters Verna and Hilda, alongside his many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is deceased by his Mother Rosalie Jerome (Sinclair), Father Arthur Jerome, his Uncle's Armand Sinclair, Gabe Sinclair and Alphonse Sinclair along with several members of Arthur's siblings. Joe known to most as "Muff" enjoyed many things. He loved working on vehicles, buying and selling them. He also loved working with horses. Muff and his brother Gordy were notorious for playing tricks on each other. Growing up in "Dodge City" everybody knew how the Jerome boys were - fast cars, booze, and a way with the ladies. His first grandson Keanan was born in 2006 and stole his grandpa's heart. Later the same year his second grandson Brayden was born. In 2010 his youngest grandson Kreestyn was born. Muff loved going for coffee and regularly changed up the places like McDonalds, AW, Trail Shop, Subway, Taco Time and Chicken Delight. He also loved taking his grandson Keanan to Walmart to shop for toys. Muff also looked forward to when Kreestyn could go along as well. He didn't get to see Brayden as often but sure treasured the times they had together. Muff was a great musician, he played acoustic, base, electric guitars, the drums, fiddle and banjo. He wrote many songs and enjoyed telling his life story in his music. His pride and joy were his children and he was so very proud of them. He will forever be remembered for his big smile, his cheekiness and his HUGE Heart of Gold! A wake was held on Friday December 16, 2011 from the Yorkton Friendship Centre in Yorkton with an evening service led by Pastor Rick Flamont of the River Mission Church. Tributes and words of remembrance were given by niece Jennifer Krantz. Funeral Services were held on Saturday December 17, 2011 from Ste. Claire Roman Catholic Church in San Clara, Manitoba officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Cabral. Joe's brothers provided as the musical accompaniment.
