PELLETIER - Mr. Gilbert Pelletier beloved husband of Mary Pelletier of Dunleath, passed away in the comfort of his family on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 71 years of age. Gilbert Pelletier was born on December 12, 1939 at Yorkton; a son of Isabelle and Joseph Pelletier. Gilbert was united with the love of his life, Mary Pelletier, in the summer of 1961. The couple lived in Medicine hat, Alberta. Gilbert worked at various jobs during his working career including working for many farmers in the area, mining, manpower and social services. He was also a Senator with the Metis organization and was a commissionaire with Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming. At all times, Mary worked and supported Gilbert in whatever he chose to do. Gilbert was a kind hearted, fun-loving man who was always concerned for the well being of his family, friends and neighbours. On any given day Gilbert could be found working side by side with his life-long partner, outside with his hands, building things, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved and valued dearly spending special time hunting, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and playing horseshoes with his son. Everybody wanted to be his partner! In everything he did, his family was the center of his life and he chose to surround himself with the love and comfort of his spouse, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
