Obituary of Mary Semeniuk

SEMENIUK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great lady, Mrs. Mary Semeniuk at the age of 86 years, from Theodore, SK. Mary was born March 15, 1925 at Theodore to Fred and Katie Maximiuk. She worked on the family farm until united in marriage to Nick Semeniuk. Nick and Mary farmed in the Theodore area and had six children. Mary was totally devoted to her children and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all her family and card playing friends. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children, sons George (Shirley) and Clifford; daughters, Sylvia (Ron) and Margaret, all of Edmonton, Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Nick, brother John, sons Joseph (in infancy), Carl and Ernest. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Trent (Kathy), Delwyn (Melanie) of Edmonton, Dale, Blake and Earl of Saskatchewan, Darcy, Jason and Derek of Edmonton. Mary also had very special friends when family wasn't around, they would help Mary and take her anywhere she wanted to go. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, October 25th at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Father Rod Luciuk of St. Mark's Orthodox Church officiating. The cantor, Zenovia Duch led in the singing of the responses. The interment followed in the Garden of St. Matthew at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Trenton Chorney, Dennis Kuzek, Delwyn Chorney, Don Gawryliuk, Daron Malinowski and David Dareichuk serving as the casket bearers.
