BOHACH - Mrs. Wanda Bohach of Ebenezer, beloved wife of Larry Bohach passed away on October 8, 2011 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 58 years of age. Wanda was born on May 17, 1953 in Chatham, New Brunswick. In 1975 Wanda came to Yorkton, finding that she had to leave the harsh life in New Brunswick. Here she met Larry and after a few years of dating they were married on October 17, 1980. Wanda began waitressing for a period of time at various jobs before confirming what she really was called to do as a career. She began her career as a caregiver for seniors, something she did from her heart. She really found pleasure in helping these people and after working with many patients and co-workers, Wanda found it was time to retire and make time for herself. She retired in February, 2011 after dedicating 25 years of service. Wanda loved her yard with flowers and ornaments everywhere. It took a lot of work, but she truly enjoyed it. She had bird houses, feeders and baths all over. She cared and loved animals, making sure they had food and water. In winter even the stray cats had food to eat and a house to stay in. After all this she still had time to enjoy camping, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, biking, quadding and holidaying every year with Leon and Donna. Wanda was diagnosed with cancer leaving her with a courageous battle when she wanted to enjoy life. She remained strong to the very end. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre officiated by Crystal Bailey. The Prayer of Meditation was led by Pastor Rick Gibson. Musical selections by Elton John 'I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues', 'Sad Songs Say So Much' and 'Something About the Way you Look Tonight' were included in the Video Tribute. Tributes & Words of Remembrance were given by Donna Bohach and Maureen "Maggie" Harrison. "Everyone who shared in Wanda's life" were considered honourary bearers. Memorials honouring Wanda's life may be made to the Guardian Angel Animal Rescue or to the S.P.C.A. Condolences to the family can be posted by visiting www.baileysfuneralhome.com Funeral arrangements were in care of Bailey's Funeral Home.
