Obituary of Pearl Kerluke

Pearl Kerluke passed away October 1st, 2011 in Regina at the age of 94 years. She was born in the Rhein district to Partun and Mary (Achtymichuk) Koroluk. Pearl was the second oldest daughter and was educated in the Rhein district. Predeceased by her parents, 3 sisters, Lena, Rose and Ellen as well as two brothers, Mike and Connie. Pearl is survived by 4 brothers, Bill, Peter, Stanley and John, also 3 sisters, Sadie, Ann and Mary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pearl never married but had many dear friends over the years, who loved her for her quiet, gentile personality. Pearl was a very humble lady, and would take the blame rather than have a confrontation, which made her all the more endearing. During the 40's Pearl moved to Vancouver with her sister Rose, and worked at the North Vancouver Shipyards during the war years. Later she worked at a dry cleaning store, owned by her brother Mike. In the 50's Pearl did waitressing work in the down town Vancouver area. After that she worked at Mike's office at B.C. Oil Distributors. Later she worked for Morrow Fuel Oil in Vancouver. In the early 70's Pearl moved to Yorkton to care for her mother. She worked at McLeods and then Croll's department store until she retired. Pearl had a deep respect for her Creator and enjoyed the beautiful things in nature, and later on in her life she came to appreciate this even more. Our dear Pearl will be greatly missed, and remembered with love and affection by all that knew her. Pearl's family wish to express their appreciation for all the kind expressions of flowers, cards and words of comfort. The funeral service was held at Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Friday, October 7, 2011, at 1:00p.m. led by Alan Wagner. Interment Details Yorkton City Cemetery
