Obituary of Tammy Kulaway

It is with saddened hearts that Tammy Lynn Kulaway of Springside, Saskatchewan, thebeloved daughter, sister and aunt was tragically taken from us on Saturday, March 12 , 2011. Tammy was born on September 28 , 1970 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Virginia (nee Homeniuk) and Steven Kulaway. She grew up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and attended St. Alphonsus, St. Joseph's Junior High and graduated in 1989 from the Yorkton Regional High School. While attending school, she worked at Park Plaza Florists and then the Dietary Unit for the Yorkton and District Nursing Home. While being employed with the Nursing Home she furthered her education, eventually becoming a Special Care Aide, a position which Tammy was still doing until her passing. While working she also initiated a business endeavour called, "Uniform Alley" which operated in Yorkton for a few years. Recently Tammy was planning to once again continue her education to achieve her dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Tammy took great pride in her job and it allowed her to express her loving and caring nature. She led a simple, non-materialistic life and found great joy in good company and a glass of good wine. She enjoyed the company of others and animals. The door to her home, also known to some as, "the zoo" was always open. Tammy's warm heart was felt by all that were privileged to be touched by her. Family and friends were treasured and she always was willing to help out in any way she could, even if it meant she would have to go without. Tammy was also appreciative of good deeds and cherished all gifts she received especially "hand-me downs" from her little sisters. Kids held a special place in Tammy's heart and "Aunty Tammy" always ensured the kids had a special time. "What happened at Aunties, stayed at Aunties" … except the dirty laundry. Tammy was a very spiritual person who saw good in everything and everyone. She had a deep connection with nature, animals and the outdoors. Animals were a huge part of Tammy's life and the animals she had adopted and cared for throughout the years were considered her children. Sammy, Tammy's companion had a very special bond and Sammy often tagged along with Tammy where ever she went. Tammy loved the outdoors and always looked forward to fishing season. Her and Sammy spent countless hours at White Sand River, in the yard and the greenhouse. "My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Tammy is survived by her mother Virginia Kulaway of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, her "sis" Tracy Martin (Jeff) of Yorkton, Sasktachewan and her youngest "sis" Amanda Kulaway (Marcel Roussin) of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, nephew and Godchild, Brayden Martin (special friend Laura Anaka), niece, Daytona Campbell, nephews Jaspyn Campbell, Hudsyn Roussine and her "babies Bella, Tips, Tigger, Nyles, Daisy Duke and Oscar.
