Obituary of Alvin Earl Farslow

Alvin Farslow was born on June 27, 1930 at Kelliher, Saskatchewan; a son of William and Caroline (nee Lillico) Farslow. He was raised on the farm and attended the New Haven School. Alvin left the home farm at a young age to begin working for the Dept. of Highways. Eventually Alvin returned to farming with his brother Louis in the Kelliher district. After retirement he was able to live on his own until just a couple of years ago, when he became a resident of the Paradise Lodge. Due to failing health Alvin became a resident of the Silver Heights Special Care Home in Raymore, where he resided until his passing in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 26th 2022. He was 91 years of age. Throughout his life, Alvin was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and trapping, and had been recognized by the North West Fur Trading company for supplying the finest quality pelts. But his true love was fishing, just a mention of the name fishing and Alvin would be reaching for his fishing rod and tackle box. Alvin will also be remembered for his sense of humour, he loved telling and hearing a good joke. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Louis, Douglas & Harvey, and by sisters Hazel Naslund and Ethel Farslow. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Mann, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Cremation has taken place. The interment of Alvin’s cremated remains will take place at a later date. Service Details.
