Obituary of Natalie Kreway
Natalie Kreway was born March 18, 1936 in ltuna. After a battle with cancer, she died peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville. Natalie was the youngest daughter of William and Maria (Lewko) Kreway. They raised their family of 12 in the Church Hill district north of ltuna. Natalie attended ChurchHill School until 1949 when she moved to ltuna with her parents. After graduating from ltuna School, Natalie took a Business course in Regina and later returned to ltuna to work as the secretary for the RM of ltuna Bon Accord. In the 1950's, she joined several of her siblings in Toronto where she was employed by City Hall for a number of years. After retiring from her job in 2005, she returned to her hometown of Ituna where she enjoyed her family and took great pride in her garden. Natalie was predeceased by her parents, William and Maria, sister Pauline and her husband Mike Obuch of Ituna, sister Caroline Kreway of Mississauga, sister Rose Halinak of Mississauga, sister Pat and her husband Sam Battaglia of Mississauga, sister Kay and her husband Frank Nakonechny of Toronto, sister Julia and her husband Bill Nakonechny of Regina, brother Walter and his wife Pearl (nee Broshko) of ltuna, brother Nick of Ituna, sister Helen and husband Willie Kotylak of Kelliher, sister Edna and her husband Paul Machula of Mississauga. Natalie is survived by her brother Michael (Hazel) of Windsor, brother Leon (Verna) of ltuna, sister in law, Nettie Kreway of Ituna and brother in law, Alex Halinak of Mississauga and numerous nieces and nephews.
