He loved nature and the outdoors, doing cookouts, barbequing, going for drives in the country, visiting the family farm and taking Jaylene's dog, Jetta out for runs. He took pride in his yard work, gardening and looking after his flowers and lawn. Ken liked to support his daughters, Shalon and Jaylene in their activities. He would nervously pace back and forth while watching Shalon curl and Jaylene was very similar to Ken; she was his girl hockey player. Ken enjoyed watching the Weather Channel, the Riders and took much pride in cheering for his Toronto Maple Leafs - he was a real die-hard fan.
