Obituary of Sheenah Kalk

KALK - Sheenah Lynn Kalk was born on October 1st, 1993 in Yorkton Saskatchewan to her loving parents Ann Stafford, and Ken Kalk. She was taken from this world in a tragic accident, on November 21, 2010. Sheenah is survived by her parents and her step mother Eva Hudy. Her grandparents Gladys Stafford and Lyle Kalk, Her brothers Kelsey Drotar and Scott Drotar (Emily Stevenson), her sisters Jocelyn Drotar and Megan Kalk (Mitch Lueck), her step brothers Vince Hamm and Calvin Hamm. As well as her aunt and uncle Lynn and Gordon Hahn their children Jody and Dustin Hahn and her aunt Kathy Carlisle (Gary Walsh) and Kathy's children Kennedy and Joseph Warren. Sheenah also had extended family including Kazimiera Hudy, Roxanne, Walter, Brittany, and Zachary Hudy. Theresa, Mike, and David Mysko. Joanne Hudy, Wayne, Gracynn, and Morgan Gurniak. She was predeceased by her grandmother Bonnie Kalk and grandfather Roy Stafford. Sheenah lived in Yorkton all of her life and attended St. Mary's and St. Alphonsus elementary schools, she was a Grade 12 student at Sacred Heart high school. Where she participated in many sports including: basketball, volleyball, dance and her passion was cheerleading. Sheenah was an animal lover and often tried to bring home a new pet from the SPCA. Sheenah was well travelled; her adventures included family trips to Disneyworld, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, and many fishing trips. Although young she had an extensive work history, she started working with her dad at a young age and continued on to Canadian Tire, Warehouse One, Jays Transport and her current employer was Shell service station. In addition to her jobs she found time to babysit because of her love of children. Sheenah wanted to dedicate her life to helping people. From a young age Sheenah had a passion to become a nurse and was in the process of pursuing her dream. Sheenah will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. She was a loving and loyal, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend. Her joy for life and upbeat attitude attracted people of all ages to her. Sheenah loved people and her smile could light up a room. "Life is what YOU make it" A Celebration of Life Service was held on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Linda Pelletier & Crystal Bailey officiating. Musical Selections, Better Than A Hallelujah by Amy Grant, I'm Gonna Try and Change the World by Johnny Reid and Amazing Grace by Michael J. & the Blue Woods Band were included in the service. Words of Remembrance were shared by family friends, Amanda Krochak & Scott Musqua; brother Scott Drotar and a poem read by Megan Kalk. The Interment took place in Family plot in the Garden of St. Mark at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with brothers Kelsey & Scott Drotar and sisters Jocelyn Drotar & Megan Kalk serving as the urnbearers. Memorials in memory of Sheenah may be made towards establishing a scholarship at Sacred Heart High School or to the S.P.C.A. as gifts of remembrance.
