Obituary of Sophie Wiwchar

Mrs. Sophie Wiwchar, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Wiwchar passed away May 10, 2010 at the Rosetown Hospital. She was 90 years of age. Sophie was a homemaker that lived a quiet life in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. In their younger days they enjoyed fishing and Sunday car rides. Throughout her life she continued to enjoy car rides and flowers. Sophie was always smiling and her laughter would fill a room. She loved her many nieces and nephews - always having fun with them whenever they were around. Sophie is predeceased by her parents, William and Pearl Sereda, brother Peter, sisters Pauline, Mary and Tillie, step-brothers Fred, John and Bill, step-sister Mary and Annie.She is now reunited with her husband Bill who passed away in 1998. She leaves behind her brothers George, Emil, many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, May 18th, in the Garden of St. Luke at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Very Rev. Father Mel Slashinsky of Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Yorkton officiating. Condolences to the family can be emailed to baileysfuneralhome@sasktel.net Vichnaya Pamyat!
