Obituary of Wasyl Rusnak

RUSNAK - Wasyl Rusnak was born on the family farm in the Wroxton district of Saskatchewan on October 16, 1922; a son of Chris & Dora Rusnak. Wasyl was one of 12 children, six boys and six girls. Wasyl faced many challenges as a young lad, but being on the farm gave him the opportunity to contribute in many ways. He was very good with the livestock and became the caretaker of the cattle herd his father had. Wasyl stayed on the farm till the age of 50, because of poor health he became a resident of the Valley View Care Home in Moose Jaw. Here Wasyl received good care and made many new friends with his fellow clients and the caregivers that were employed there. He was a quiet, unassuming individual who appreciated what people did for him. Wasyl passed away on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 at Valley View Centre. He was 87 years of age. Predeceased by his parents, Chris & Dora; four sisters: Mary, Alice, Carrie & Lena; and by three brothers: Adam, Johnny, and George.
