Obituary of Edna Demitor

Edna Demitor was born on April 7, 1913 in the Fenwood district of Saskatchewan; a daughter of Emil and Amelia (nee Sitz) Trelenberg. Edna was raised on the family farm and received her education in the district. On December 29, 1929 she was united in marriage to Louis Demitor. In the fall of 1936, they moved to their farm 12 miles northwest of Melville, where they farmed until 1974, when they retired and made their home in Melville. Edna's hobbies included fishing with Louis in their retirement years, and knitting, gardening & travelling. Her family was a source of great pride and joy to Edna, and she cherished spending time with them. Edna passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville. She was 97 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Louis in 1986, she is survived by her four sons and two daughters: Howard & Geraldine of Kelowna, BC; Don & Ruby of Melville; Reginald & Judy of Wetaskiwin, AB; Vernon of Melville; Eileen (Ben) Ferster of Kelowna, BC; Shirley (Ken) Greger) of Armstrong, BC; twenty three grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; one sister: Bertha Gabel of Kelowna, BC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and her many other relatives and friends.
