NORMAN - On Sunday, November 29, 2009, Molly Norman passed away peacefully at Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats, surrounded by her family. She was 92 years of age. Mary Eileen (Molly) Norman was born June 28, 1917 at Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the third eldest of Ernest and Alice Wood's seven children. She attended Grunert School and the Yorkton Collegiate. Although life was at times difficult for Molly, she met each challenge with strength and dignity, always remaining a woman of quiet faith. Molly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of life on the farm where as a homemaker she faithfully raised her family. Molly was a great provider. The fruits of her labor were enjoyed by all, especially her fresh baking, dill pickles, relish and her famous raspberry jelly! She found pleasure in tending the family garden where she grew many flowers that could always be found decorating her home. Molly loved life and lived each day by the values she believed in based on the Golden Rule. Molly will be sadly missed and always remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
