Obituary of Erna Lee

The family of Erna Lee of the Canora Gateway Lodge and formerly of Yorkton and the Saltcoats District, beloved wife of the late Albert Lee, sadly announce her passing on February 6, 2022. She was 95 years of age. A private graveside service will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Canora Gateway Lodge 212 Centre Ave. E, Canora, SK. S0A 0L0 as gifts of remembrance. The family of Erna Lee sadly announce her passing on Sunday, February 6, 2022. She was 95 years of age. Erna was born June 28, 1926 in the Pebble Lake district to Angeneta and Jake Loewen. She was one of six children. Erna was a secretary in Yorkton in her earlier years. She met Bus, her future husband at a dance at Pebble Lake. Erna and Bus were married on November 29, 1947. They moved to New Westminister, B.C. where Bus worked for B.C. Electric. Erna and Bus moved back home two years later to take over the family farm alongside Bob and Ann. As well as helping out on the farm, Erna worked at Sully’s Egg Farm. They continued to farm until 1976 when they retired and moved to Yorkton. After her husband passed, Erna moved into Fairview Arms where she resided until needing more care, she then moved to the Gladstone Senior Care Home and then to Canora Gateway Lodge where she resided until her passing. Erna was predeceased by her husband Buss in 1999, daughter-in-law Janet (2005), and two great grandchildren, Noah and Merrick. Erna is survived by her daughter Terry and grandchildren Jeff (Darla), Meaghan and Michael (Rosie) and son Larry (Sandra) and grandchildren Randi (Trent) and Trisha (Dean), seven great grandchildren; Chase, Daxton, Brooke, Gracelyn, Bohen, Jackson and Tucker, sister Hilda (Gordon) and brother Jack. Erna will be sadly missed by all but not forgotten. Service Details.
