Obituary of Adeline Marion Achtemichuk
The family of Adeline Achtemichuk, beloved wife of Peter Achtemichuk of Yorkton, sadly announce her passing on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was 86 years of age.
Cremation has taken place. An interment service is being planned for the summer of 2022.
Adeline Marion Achtemichuk (Marchinko) peacefully passed away the morning of February 3rd, 2022, with family by her side. She was 86 years of age. She was born to Peter and Ann Marchinko on December 1, 1935 in the hamlet of Mikado. Her early years and childhood were filled with rich memories that she continually reminisced about. She was a sister to 10 siblings, who received a deep love and tremendous work ethic from their loving parents.
On November 28th, 1954 she married the love of her life, Peter Achtemichuk. They were married for 67 years. They resided in Hampton and Canora, followed by a move to Yorkton in 1973. She had 3 children and enjoyed her family life immensely. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, sister, and friend. Adeline loved being a grandmother to Brooklyn (Brad) English of Kamloops, BC, Taylor (Vera) Andre of Williams Lake, BC and Brittany (fiancé Kelly) Derrow of Saskatoon. Adeline was great-grandmother to Taylnn, Addison, and Lauren whom she adored and cherished being called “Nanny-bananny.”
She was an avid reader and student of the Bible, and one of her favourite scriptures was Matthew 5:3 (NWT), “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” Her faith gave her an assured belief and hope of a wonderful and endless future that rests in the memory of Jehovah God our Creator.
Adeline was predeceased by a grand-daughter, Kristen, her sisters Marie Bihun, Carol Banks, Patricia Hrycyk, and Bernice Duchscherer.
She is survived by her husband Peter and her 3 children: Harley (Jacqueline) Andre of Yorkton, Carla (Michael) Aird of Vancouver, BC, and Shari (David) McLelland of Yorkton. She is also survived by her many siblings: Elizabeth Danyluk, Nell (Ernie) Gabora, Bernie Marchinko, Marion Perpeluk, Lorraine Ochitwa, and Norman (Gwen) Marchinko. She had many nieces, and nephews, and was a friend to many. Service Details.
