Obituary of Audrey Lozinski

LOZINSKI - Audrey passed away after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer on Sunday,December 28, 2008 at the William Booth Care Home in Regina. She was 68 years of age. Predeceased by her loving husband William on May 29, 2000, Audrey is survived by her son Joe (Nan); daughters: Carla (Rob), Jackie (Ashley), and Donna (Wesley) and their families. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters and their families. Audrey was born on August 30, 1940 at Estevan, Saskatchewan to Albert and Violet Horrocks. She met and married Bill Lozinski on August 26, 1966, and the couple settled in the Ituna district to farm and raise their family. After Bill's death, Audrey eventually moved to Regina, where she had resided until her passing. To everyone who knew and loved Audrey, she was feisty to the very end of her long and happy life. May she rest in peace. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home in Ituna. Rev. Brian Mee officiated. Daughter Carla gave a tribute, and also sang a medley of country gospel hymns with assistance from Laurie Rey and Todd Lueck. Two taped hymns, Peace in the Valley and In the Garden were also played. The interment took place in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery with Joe Lozinski, Ashley Zwolak, Bob Pawlust and Geoff Tober serving as the casketbearers.
