MYSKO - It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Cynthia Rosemarie Mysko, age 56, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Cynthia Rosemarie Mysko was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Rose and Bill Mysko on February 7, 1952. She grew up on the family farm near Wroxton, SK and there she attended elementary school. When the family moved to Yorkton, she attended Sacred Heart Academy. Following this, she obtained her diploma in psychiatric nursing and worked in Weyburn, Yorkton and later, Saskatoon University Hospital. Her hobby was playing keyboard in piano lounges and she also formed several bands, which entertained throughout the province. She became very successful at this, so much so, that she eventually left nursing to pursue her music career full time. Cynthia's greatest attribute was her talent in the arts. She was a painter, a writer of poetry, a singer, as well as a musician. She was a gifted, self-taught musician who played several instruments, but was best known for her keyboard accomplishments. She could listen to a song, then immediately play it by ear. Cynthia loved to entertain at family functions and could always be depended upon to provide lively music for such gatherings. She also enjoyed teaching others how to play a variety of instruments. Cynthia will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her talents and love of the arts, her love of animals, nature and travel. She will truly be missed. Cynthia was predeceased by her father, William Mysko and leaves to mourn, her mother, Rose, her brothers, Lorne (Bernadette) Mysko and Jeff (Shelley) Mysko and her sisters Sharen Zeman, Geraldine (Mitch) Hippsley and Laurie (Marty) Meloche. She also leaves to mourn, many nieces and nephews: Paul (Carla), Jared, and Barbara Mysko, Philip and Laura Zeman, Britanny (Dave) Burchill, Carly, Macy, and Alexa Hippsley, Riley and Regan Meloche, and Reis and Tori Mysko. She also leaves to mourn great-grand nephews Andrew Mysko, William Mysko, and great-grand niece Allison Mysko. A Celebration of Life Service was held from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre on Sunday evening July 13, 2008 with Rev. Fr. Frank Szadiak C.Ss.R of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church officiating. The responses for the Parastas were sung by members of the parish choir. The committal service followed in the Mysko family plot in the Garden of St. Luke at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens. Cynthia's beloved mother, Rose was the urn bearer.
