Obituary of Elsie Baziuk

BAZIUK - It is with great sadness the family of Elsie Baziuk, mother, grand mother, great grand mother; and great great grandmother; we announce her passing on January 23, 2022 at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home. She was 88 years of age. Elsie was born on July 21, 1933 at home in the Sheho/Parkerview district; the first daughter to Pearl and Nick Dickoony . Her mother died when mom was 2 years old. She was raised by her brothers and father until 11, then her dad remarried. After attending school, she went to work as a house keeper in Yorkton. There she met Fred Baziuk and they were married on Nov. 23, 1952, and they were blessed with six children, four girls and two boys, twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, and seven great great grand children. Mom was a good cook, and made many perogies, and Ukrainian dishes, raised her children and just loved all her grand babies. Predeceased by her husband Fred Baziuk, August 22 2013, parents, step-mother Mary, half brother Morris, half sisters – Gloria and Iris, an infant unnamed sister and infant brother Matt, brothers Walter and John; sister Mary Eckstein; son-in-laws Kim Steiner, Harvey Chernipeski & Bradley Marianchuk, great great granddaughter, Harper Mitchell. Elsie leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory: two sons: Bill (Jill Eyelofson) and his son Jason (Heather) and their children Lotus, Jericho & Tulip; Alexander (Roseann) & their children: James (Marcy), Joleen (Trevor) children Austin & Destiny, and Bobbie-jo, and Natasha (Jody Kachur) and their children Shevy, Ferrari & Porshia and Diesel; four daughters: Marie Steiner & her daughter Tanice (Neil Remenda) & their daughter Caitlyn; Patricia Bazuik, and her children Gwenda Gara (Les) & their children Kirsten (Braden Kipling) her children MeKenna, Easton and Emberlee; Johnathan (Chelsie Avery) and son Kyler; & Joey; Crystal, Ryan (Erica Nichols) & Kyle Marianchuk; Eileen Bazuik & her daughter Tammy Rode & children Brittney (Tyler Mitchell) and their children, Zemria, Dominic & Harlow; Bryce & Brooke (John Shukin) and Betty Walker (Garry) & their children Sara (Craig) and sons Kade and Knox , and Candice(Jordan), son Emmett; also numerous nieces, nephews and her many other relatives and friends.
