Obituary of Ethel Dutchak
Mrs.Ethel Dutchak of Yorkton and formerly of the Buchanan district entered eternal rest peacefully at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the age of 93 years. Ethel Dutchak was born June 21, 1914 in the Buchanan district of Saskatchewan a daughter of John and Mary (nee Kresak) Hrynchyshyn. Ethel was a mother of four children: Marcella (Mike ) Hadubiak of Buchanan, SK, Harold of Yorkton, SK., Phyllis of Toronto ON. and Mike who had predeceased her. Besides her children Ethel leaves her grandchildren and great grandchildren and a daughter - in - law Loretta of Lethbridge, AB. She was predeceased by her husband William and her son Mike. Requiem Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Thursday morning, September 20, 2007 from St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church Yorkton, SK. with Reverend Father Methodius Kushko C.Ss.R. as Celebrant. The sermon was written by Ethel's brother Most Reverend Bishop Michael Hrynchyshyn C.Ss.R. The responses to the Liturgy were sung by Ed Pindus and members of the parish. The Epistle reader was Dorene Steele with Will Alexy serving as Cross bearer. During Communion a special music selection entitled The 23rd. Psalm was sung by Dave Steele ; accompanying him on the organ was Desiree' Steele. A the conclusion of the Liturgy James Steele played "In the Garden " on the violin. The interment followed in the Yorkton CIty Cemetery with Dave Steele, Cal Handy, Kevin and Kelly Dutchak, Rogne Hrynchyshyn and Lyle Hadubiak serving as Casket Bearers.
