Obituary of Marie Angele Yvette Allarie

MARIE ANGELE YVETTE ALLARIE (DeMONTIGNY) (Nickname D'enfants) Angela was born to Alfred DeMontigny and Melanie Rose Fisher on September 2, 1943 in Russell, MB. She grew up in "Foulliards Town" now known as Gambler's Reserve. She attended Foulliards School, and then Binscarth school where she completed her grade 8. Angela was married on November 7, 1960 to Cyril Allarie in San Clara and adopted Brian and Treena. After the couple separated Angela moved to Winnipeg. While in Winnipeg, she met Louis Leclerc with whom she had three children, Jason, Edward and Rosaleen. She returned home to Binscarth in 1980, where she alone raised her children. In 1988 enrolled into adult education. In 1998 Angela moved to Yorkton and worked as a cook's helper and later at the Painted Hand Casino in the Gift Shop and at Customer Service. Angela will be remembered as a very friendly, kind, strong independent woman who loved life. She loved music, dancing and singing. In 2000, Angela was diagnosed with cancer. With hope and courage she endured a variety of treatments, but lost her battle with cancer on October 28, 2006 at 7:05 am at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre with her children at her side. Angela was predeceased by many in her family and leaves behind to mourn her passing, Brian & Tracy and their children Brandon & Justin; Treena and her children Donna, Bradley, Felina, Christopher & Kelly; Jason & Helen and their children Nicholas, Cody & Jaylee; Edward & Carolyn and child Monique; Rosaleen & Darren; sister Victoria Genaille and brother Les DeMontigny; her dearest friends, Elizabeth Swain, Karyn Taypotat and Ralph McKenzie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many more friends.
