Obituary of Joanne Delores Turchak
The family of Joanne Delores Turchak of Melville, beloved wife of Bryan Turchak sadly announce her passing on Monday, March 6, 2023. She was 70 years of age.
Joanne was born January 8, 1953 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was the youngest of 7 children. She moved to Melville when she was 13 years old, and not long after, she met the love of her life Bryan when he stopped to give her a ride home from church. For Joanne it was love at first sight. They were married on January 25, 1969 and continued to spend as much time together as possible. This included many motorcycle trips to Sturgis and numerous other places. After Bryan retired, they spent winters in Brownsville Texas where new friendships were forged.
When Bryan and Joanne married, all she wanted was to be happy and to ensure her family was provided for. She brought joy to those around her and her family returned that joy to her. She loved spending time with her family and continued to be present at as many events and celebrations as possible despite several heath issues.
Joanne had a deep connection to the church and a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Along with Bryan, she spent several years as a youth sponsor teaching Sunday school and hosting youth nights.
Joanne passed peacefully on March 6, 2023 with Bryan and her daughters by her side. Joanne left this world with nothing left unsaid, her mind at ease and a soul at peace. She had no fear of death. She knew death was a doorway to her home with Jesus Christ, her mother, Bobby-Joe and all her loved ones who left this world before her.
Joanne is lovingly remembered by Bryan her husband of 54 years, her daughters Kathryn (Mark), Lori (Lindsay), Mandy (Doug) (ex husband Mike) her grandchildren who lovingly knew her as Granny, Raychell (Branden), Rebecca (Ross), Justin, Myles (Cara), Brenna, Kaela, her great grandchildren Ryker, Sawyer, Fynnegan, her bother Don (Robyn) and many brothers and sisters-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
