Obituary of Lawrence Kucher

Lawrence Kucher was on June 29, 1936 in Kelowna, British Columbia to Nick and Ann (nee Diak) Kucher. Later the family moved to a farm in the Whitesand district near Springside, Saskatchewan. Lawrence moved to Yorkton as a young man where he met Victoria Madanyk. The couple were married in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on July 18, 1959. Together they raised their three sons, Lance, Kenneth and Keith. Lawrence worked as a carpenter and contractor in Yorkton for many years. He worked with many people and often had colourful stories of some of the projects they worked on over the years. When he wasn’t working Lawrence especially enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Lorraine. He leaves to cherish his memory his three sons: Lance, Ken and Keith; four grandchildren, Koen, Alyse, Evan and Alaia; one sister Evelyn.
