Obituary of Nettie Bates

She attended Torsk School and later helped on the farm. She then worked at the Monarch Lumber company of Calder for 2 years.
Nettie married Michael A. Elaschuk October 30, 1948. They were married for 25 years and were blessed with two children Sharon 1955 and Wayne 1960. They lived and ran a thriving business at Wroxton Corner until Michael's passing October 10, 1973. Nettie married Thomas Bates October 5, 1976. They resided in Yorkton and she worked at the Yorkton Regional Hospital canteen/gift shop. She was a long time member of the Wroxton Greek Orthodox Church and later the Yorkton Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Nettie was a talented baker and cook where everyone enjoyed everything that came out of her kitchen. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening, travelling and playing cards. Family was most important to her and she wanted the best for everyone.
