My condolences go out to His Holiness Pope Francis I on the elevation of the soul of The Most Reverend Adam Exner, O.M.I. into the kingdom of eternal righteousness. To the grieving family, to those who belong to the family,
and to all those who knew Archbishop Adam Josph Exner OMI,
of those who were close to him and supported him in every circumstance,
and especially to all the faithful who listened to his words full of grace and wisdom and who will surely always remain imprinted in their minds and souls and will never forget him.
It is with a grieving heart and tearful eyes that I also express my regret for this great loss that will leave a huge void in our soul.
My husband Josef and I always corresponded via E-Mail with Archbishop Adam. It was like a holy blessing to us.
10 months ago, on November 29, 2022, my husband Josef passed away and Archbishop Adam sent me words of comfort and encouragement.
The last time I emailed him was July 7, it was the day- he was consecrated a priest.
But no, I didn't get a response from him. Maybe he was sick, they were admitted to the hospital, I don't know yet.
Two days before Archbishop Adam passed away, it was very heavy on my heart. I prayed for my husband Josef and cried all the time. During this time I had not read the emails that came. When I looked it was, "Adam Exner," I thought he answered. It was just sad news. I was deeply overwhelmed with grief. I prayed daily and for the repose of his soul, and at church on these two Saturdays on September 9 and September 16 and the Holy Rosary with the Mysteries of Sorrow together with the faithful.
My thoughts and prayers accompany you all through this difficult time of farewell and mourning. I wish you all a lot of strength, peace, good friends at your side and God's blessing.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
In deep mourning
