Clarence Peppler

Obituary of Clarence Gerald Peppler

The family of Clarence Peppler of Yorkton, beloved husband of the late Rita Peppler, passed away on September 25, 2023. Clarence Gerald Peppler was born on October 9, 1934 to parents Philip and Molly Peppler. He was one of three children. He grew up on the family farm in the Wallace district, southwest of Rhein until 1944 when the family moved to Rhein. He worked alongside his father until he made the move to Regina. There he had taken on a job at a grocery store, then started doing construction which led him to run his own carpentry business.

While living in Regina he met and married the love of his life Rita Kurtz. They spent many wonderful years together. They enjoyed going camping and loved to dance. They spent countless weekends attending Polka Fests all over the province. They had a dog named Whiskers and whenever Clarence went to pick up Rita from work, Whiskers always had to come along to greet her.  After retirement, Clarence and Rita moved to Medicine Hat before returning to Yorkton. Faith was important to Clarence and Rita and they attended Zion Lutheran Church in Yorkton.

Clarence loved Harvest time. When he moved back to Yorkton, he would go to help friends near Rhein. Clarence always kept busy, tinkering in the garage or building something. He was very talented and good with his hands. After Rita passed away in 2018, Clarence was able to manage at home until his health started to decline. He went to live in Kamsack Nursing Home then was transferred to the Yorkton & District Nursing Home where he resided until his passing on September 25, 2023.

A Graveside Service was held on Monday, October 2, 2023 in the Garden of Memories, Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating.
