Obituary of Patricia Bazuik

     Patricia (Pat) Lorraine Bazuik was born on October 19, 1955 to parents Fred and Elsie Baziuk at Theodore Hospital. She was the third of six children. She was raised on the family farm West of Theodore. She attended school in Theodore. Pat worked at the Holiday Inn in Yorkton after school until moving from home.

     Pat welcomed her first-born Gwenda in 1976. Pat met Bradley Marianchuk in 1982, moved in together, and welcomed a new addition, Crystal, to the family in 1983. They then welcomed Ryan in 1989, and Kyle in 1990. Pat moved a couple times before moving to Jedburgh with Crystal. Ryan, and Kyle.

     Pat met Frank Schurko while living in Jedburgh. After many years in Jedburgh, Pat moved to Sheho after losing her long-time friend Frankie, to be closer to her daughter Gwenda. Pat was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August of 2023. Pat was loved by many and spent her last moments with her family by her side.

     Pat had a love for gardening and enjoyed getting out for a nice ride on the quads. Pat also loved to play cards and bingo, as well as doing crosswords and crocheting. Nothing put a bigger smile on her face than seeing her grandkids and great-grandkids. Pat loved to do almost anything outdoors: splitting and stacking wood for her wood stove, picking mushrooms and berries, fishing, and enjoying the fresh air any chance she got to be outside.

     After getting her diagnosis, Pat had three wishes: to make it home from the hospital, make her birthday, and meet her newest great-grandson, Noah. Pat accomplished all three of these goals before laying down to rest.

     Pat is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Elsie Baziuk; partner Frank Schurko; Bradley Marianchuk, father of Crystal, Ryan, and Kyle; great-great-niece Harper Mitchell; brother-in-laws Harvey Chernipeski and Kim Steiner; and best friends Sharon Shier and Marilyn Koshman.

     Pat is survived by her children: Gwenda (Les), Crystal, Ryan (Erica), and Kyle (Stacey); grandchildren Kirsten (Braden), Johnathan (Chelsie), and Joey; great-grandchildren Mekenna, Easton, Emberlee, Kyler, and Noah; siblings Marie, Bill (Jill), Eileen, Alex (Rosie), and Betty; as well as all of her nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
