Obituary of John Koshman
The family of John Koshman of Ebenezer, beloved son of Violet and the late Bill Koshman, sadly announce his sudden passing on November 25, 2023. John was 66 years of age.
John then went to work for CN Rail for a few years. John then went to Lashburn, SK and became friends with the hotel owner, the restaurant owner, and many more. John became a handyman doing odd jobs for people, which he enjoyed. John then moved back to Yorkton, where he had many different jobs.
John liked to spend time by himself working on his truck or carpentry. John also liked to be around people, visit, and drink coffee. John loved his coffee. John also loved his trucks; he spent a lot of time working on them. John spent a lot of time with his Mom after his Dad passed away. John loved his nieces and nephews, joking with them and telling them stories.
John loved his animals, but if the animals did not listen, they got it. One day John went to feed the chickens, but he didn’t notice that the rooster was behind him – and when John turned around, no more rooster. Bill told John to feed the calves, but John had no patience with animals that did not go his way. John was a kind brother, but he did have a temper, like so many of us.
John’s sister Carol remembers the time when her and John were together and they met Larry. Larry asked John if Carol was his wife and John replied, “Heaven’s no, that’s my sister.” Larry asked if he could meet Carol, John said yes, and Carol and Larry later married. Carol’s daughter Kimberly remembers when Carol was sick, so John took Kimberly to Dairy Queen, then brought her home and made her peanut butter and cheese sandwiches.
John, your Mom, all your brothers and sisters, and all of your friends love you very much and you will be dearly missed. Brother, we love you to the moon and back.
