Dear Judy and family,
My most deep and sincere sympathies on Don’s passing. Losing a husband, father and grandfather is heartbreaking and one wonders if the pain and grief will ever go away. Honestly it doesn’t go away, but it will get gentler with time. Be good to yourselves and keep your memories close.
Working with Don at Victim Services was an absolute honor. Seeing his dedication as a volunteer and his willingness to always learn and help others in their greatest time of need was nothing short of wonderful. I loved the times he would come into my office and we would talk, not only about cases he was on but about gardening and what the two of you had been doing, his boys and what they were up to and also his grandchildren especially when they would come for visits in the summer. It was clear to see how much family meant to him……..and that was everything. God bless each and everyone of you as you walk through this journey of grief and sorrow
