Deepest condolences to the Serdachny family. I had the pleasure of having “Mr. C” at Angus Spice in the 70s. He was a gentle giant that all the students gravitated toward. I was lucky enough to run into him at a Terrier game a few years ago and he still remembered my name. May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of talking to Larry many times at the rink and many times when we would walk past his house with our dog. He always had time to talk, and always had to get a treat for our dog. Great man, gone too soon.

To the family of Larry Serdachny .. condolences from the Elliott's. My time at Columbia school in the 80's would not have been the same without a motivated, sports loving and charismatic teacher in Mr. Serdachny. He brought out the best in his students. The ODR was always flooded and ready to go and he prided himself in both individual and team success. Columbia was the envy of all schools back then, thanks to Mr. Serdachny.

Dear Linda and family - we were pleased to have met you and Larry on our "Four Island Hawaii Cruise" years ago and continued to enjoy brief visits over the years either at a Terrier Hockey Game or uptown. Larry and Art were roommates at YUH this past spring and Larry was such a positive influence for Art at a time when he was feeling quite ill. Larry would brighten Art's day with their many 'hockey chats.' Larry was a fine man who touched many lives and has left everyone who had the privilege of knowing him with a fond memory or two. RIP Larry - you will be missed!

Dear Linda and the Serdachny family,
We were sorry to hear of Larry's illness and his passing. We have fond memories of our relationship in the Yorkton elementary school system. Larry and I were the only men on the staff at Dr. Brass School in the 1980's, and Larry was frequently supervising on the playground during the recess and noon breaks. We asked that another man join the staff so that we could discuss sports in a female-dominated staffroom. We also spent time at Columbia School in our later years of our careers.. I also enjoyed having Sheryl and Derek in my classes over the years.
We were fortunate to have Larry in our journey through life. We have fond memories of the social occasions we shared in earlier years.
Sincerely,
Ferne & Murray
