Obituary of Blake Semeniuk

The family of Blake Semeniuk of Yorkton, beloved son of Rita Diakow and the late Carl Semeniuk, sadly announce his passing on December 13, 2023. He was 54 years of age.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. from Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Fr. Basil Malowany officiating.

The interment will take place in the Springside Town Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or to St. Mary's Church as gifts of remembrance.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home and Cremation Care.

Blake Everett Semeniuk was born on April 19, 1969 at the Yorkton Union Hospital. He was the beloved son of Rita Diakow and the late Carl Semeniuk.

Blake attended elementary school in Springside and St. Joe’s and the Regional for his junior and senior grades.

Upon completion of his education, Blake worked at various construction jobs namely Weitzel’s Construction, North West Territories, Alwood Construction, Brad Liebrecht and many side jobs. Construction was what he did most of the time.

He loved animals, especially chickens, cats and dogs. He enjoyed cooking as well. Skidoing and quading was also something Blake truly enjoyed. He also was interested in fixing vehicles and bikes.

Blake passed away on December 13, 2023 at his home as a result of a heart condition. He was 54 years of age.

Predeceased by his dad, grandparents Mike & Marge Diakow and Nick &  Mary Semeniuk and his niece Jody Semeniuk; Blake is survived by his mom Rita Diakow; brothers, Earl and Dale and  his niece Brandy (Dusty) Metz and their children Jordyn and Gunner.
