Dennis Clarence Campeau (68), died in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on January 13, 2024. He passed away peacefully at the Yorkton hospital with his wife of 50 years by his side.

Dennis was born in Swan River, Manitoba on September 8, 1955, to Roderick and Isabelle Campeau. Growing up, his family lived in the Lady Lake, Saskatchewan area; and as a child he attended school in Sturgis, Saskatchewan.

As a young man he started a family with Alma Nepinak and had aspirations to become a teacher and attended Suntep University in Regina, Saskatchewan. As his family grew, he always found work to support them and later became interested in becoming a drug and alcohol councillor. He moved his family to Fort Qu’Appelle, where he worked at New Dawn Valley Centre. Dennis and Alma moved there family back to Yorkton, Saskatchewan in 1995 where they both worked at the Painted Hand Casino until they both eventually retired. After retirement Dennis and Alma became foster parents and opened their home and their hearts to other children.

As a young man Dennis enjoyed playing slow pitch with his friends and family. In his later years when he could no longer play, he loved watching his sons and daughter play and then later, his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching movies and listening to country music. He always wanted to learn how to play guitar and would keep a few of them around. Dennis was the heart of his family and will be deeply missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife Alma, and his 5 kids, Dennis Jr. (Desiree), Robin, Lindsay, Veronica (Dakota), and Riley (Tracey). He is also survived by Elvis Jr, Santana, and Joe who he raised as his own children. He is also survived by his 27 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Zelda, and Tracey, (David) and Jackie, who were like his sisters growing up.
