Obituary of Tony Broda
The family of Anthony (Tony) Broda of Melville, beloved husband opf Laurie Broda sadly announce his passing on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Tony was 63 years of age.
The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 15 at 11:00a.m. from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Grayson with Father John Mock officiating.

Memorials in memory of Tony may be made to Mass Offerings or St. Mary's Parish Fund (Box 100, Grayson, SK S0A 1E0) as gifts of remembrance.

Anthony (Tony) Broda was born on September 28, 1960 in Melville, Saskatchewan to Anthony and Mary (nee Slobodzian) Broda. He was the sixth of eight children.
Tony grew up on the family farm in Killaly. He graduated from the Melville Comprehensive School with a grade 12 diploma and then attended University of Saskatchewan for one year.
He met the love of his life Laurie Parislau and they were united in marriage on October 3, 1981. They were blessed with 3 children. Tony began his 30-year career at Mosaic Potash in Esterhazy in 1979. He also farmed with his brothers. In addition, he found time to be the president of Grayson Broomball Club, manage Quinn’s hockey teams and was a member of the Knight of Columbus. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, shed hunting, coyote calling, curling and golfing.
Tony was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia in 2013 and faced every step of the illness with Laurie by his side. He became a resident at St. Paul Lutheran Home in 2018.
Tony entered his eternal rest peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 63.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Broda; father-in-law, Doug Parislau; mother-in-law, Corine Parislau; brother, David Broda; brother-in-law, Tyrone Parislau and nephew, Spencer Jakubowski.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; son, Quinn and his sons Benson and Harrison; daughter, Brittany (Jeff) and their daughters Avery and Anika; daughter, Taylor (Jamie) and their daughter Sylvie; brothers, Gary (Eliane), Arthur (Pat), Richard, and Shawn (Tracy), sisters, Marion (Tom) and Bernadette (Walter) and their families; sister-in-law, Karin Broda; as well as Laurie’s siblings and their families.
